AN Airframe Bolt Assortment:
The assortment for each bolt diameter contains a selection of bolts with lengths up to 3". Grips (unthreaded shanks) are provided in 1/4" increments through the range of lengths supplied. AN airframe bolts are hex head, fine thread fasteners with a tensile strength of 125,000 psi and shear strength of 75,000 psi. These are the most commonly used aircraft bolts and are vastly superior to "Grade 8" tension bolts for race car chassis applications. NOTE: each diameter is sold separately. Unbreakable box which hold up to 6 diameters is also available, priced separately.
