Ultra-lightweight racing mufflers by Coast Fabrication Inc. are used successfully world wide in various types of motor racing including Sprint Cars, Midgets, SCCA Club and Pro racing, NHRA drag racing, and are the spec units for the Cooper Tires Champ Car Atlantic Championship. They are also widely used on cars participating in the Rolex Grand-Am Championship including the winning car in the grueling 24 Hours of Daytona race every year from 2005 through 2008. All Coast Fab. racing mufflers feature 100% thin gauge stainless steel with TIG-welded construction and are designed so that they can be easily disassembled for renewal of the cartridge material. There are several options available for packing materials. Some are lighter weight, others are more durable but with a slightly higher weight. All rebuild kits are readily available from Coast Fab. Dyno tests performed by several professional race engine builders have proven that the use of freshly packed Coast Fab. mufflers show no detriment to horsepower when compared to un-muffled systems. In short, Coast Fab. mufflers are designed to offer the highest performance at the lightest weight, combined with ease of maintenance and outstanding durability. They are chosen by racing teams when only the best will do. Coast Fab. mufflers have also been used in certain ultra high performance street applications; however no promise can be made as to their legality. |

New features include: • removable/replaceable core for easier and faster repacks and rebuilds • one-piece main housing allows extensions or turnouts to be welded directly to the outlet pipe without sacrificing rebuildability • one-piece main housing allows positioning the muffler anywhere in a system. Our old units were designed for end-of-system use only. • “floating core” allowing clamping to and rigid mounting of the outlet pipe without fear of core damage |

Please note the following: • Inlet/outlet size noted is also the muffler core ID. Both ends of the mufflers are sized to accept mating tube OD. • Main housing OD is muffler body OD. • Length is end-to-end length including inlet and outlet. • Weights are in pounds for mufflers packed with standard high temperature glasmat packing; stainless packing slightly heavier. • When ordering repack kits, state muffler size (ID x OD), length and packing option desired. |
